![]() ![]() While an effective simulation of the game, I find your script did not waste nearly as many hours of my life as I had planned into my schedule. ![]() Print "Thankyou for playing Excession's Civilisation!\n" Print "Congratulations, you have won! Your final score was $winpercent%\n\n" #we don't care what the response is, it just gives the user some sense of having done something useful Print "do you want to go first (y or n)" Print "Welcome to Excession's Civilisation\n" # Civ.pl, a script to prove your mastery of Civilization. Probably the most popular speed used by players to this date. Is there any interest in an Ars Civ IV succession game like the ones they play on the Civ Fanatics forum? Just wait until I get transports Ragnar, just wait.Anyone else still enjoying the second-best* TBS game ever made? *(Obviously Alpha Centauri is #1 -)P.S. I just fought him off for the second time and the punk could really use a good shellacking, but he's located on the other side of the globe and I haven't been able to field a large enough force against him yet. On normal speed, this always feels like a rush to the finish line, but I think this time I'm going to wage some extensive late-game wars and make use of those snazzy aircraft carriers and the like.Ragnar is really starting to annoy me. Instead, I relish the small tech leads I can gain on my AI opponents and I try and level up my advanced units into an elite fighting force.I'm just now in the modern era on my first Epic Noble game so we'll see if the the lategame is also improved. Now everything feels more balanced and I don't feel rushed to jump ages. I always used to feel this rush to grab gunpowder and rifling as soon as possible because the gap between the macemen units of the late middle ages and the gunpowder era is so short. (Beyond the Sword is GREAT!)Everything about the game is so much better on a slower turn setting. Why did it take me so long to adjust the game speed? I played lots of vanilla Civ IV when it came out - sold my retail copy - and just recently re-purchased the Complete Pack on Steam. ![]()
